Equipment Failure
Dust in galaxies, nebulae. Happened upon magic focus at 138100 for 1st four hours (thanks to Brian Brondel for going to the dome and restoring operation after storm and power outage), after which a 20-degree move made the focus slip and not only lost 1-hr exposure but 1.25 hours getting it back. Then it continued to slip during exposures, so I knew when I was beaten. But that first exposure stack is great.

Student projects and asteroid light curves and parallax test this Oct. 8. Slightly late start on this telescope, as I was observing at CTIO too. KP weather started cloudy and humid but improved then worsened at morning twilight; so I missed flats (will use those from 10/5). Slow slews were restarted. Successful night, despite confusion
